  • Jupiter Watts

  • Jupiter Watts

Since their formation in 2001, Jupiter Watts have led many lives. They’ve been a noisy pop band with a penchant for experimentation. They’ve been a drone band with a love of melody. Their songs have embraced fuzz and atmosphere and beauty and dissonance. Through the ch-ch-changes, the constants in the band have been Ramon Wals and James Trigg, whose interlocking guitar work, sure-footed vocal harmonies, and skewed songwriting provided a common thread throughout an array of configurations and four critically-lauded albums released between 2002 and 2011, the last two of which appeared on stalwart ATL indie label Two Sheds Records. For this show, all four original Watts (Wals, Trigg, bassist Hutch Renaud, drummer Robbie Nelson) are reuniting to explore the power and the pop of the band’s first two records, Short Wave Signals and False Alarms and Let It Lie, both recorded at Atlanta’s legendary Zero Return Studios.
