Chris Shinn is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, best known for fronting the bands Live, Unified Theory, and Everything Is Energy. Recognized for his Peter Gabriel-esque vocals, he has worked with producers such as Jerry Harrison and Christopher Thorn, and released a record with Live, The Turn (2014). He now performs under the name ShinN, with solo albums Falling Up (2022) and Tentacles and Teeth (2022).ShinN will be touring in the Southeast this February, supporting new original music with an all-star lineup featuring Patrick Dahlheimer (Live), Christopher Thorn (Afghan Whigs, Blind Melon, Unified Theory), and Jason Gerken (Shiner/HUM). Expect to hear new music from ShinN, along with some fan favorites from previous collaborations. No release date has been set for the three new singles, but they are expected to arrive before the tour begins.
James Hall & the Steady Wicked
Atlanta based James Hall & The Steady Wicked formed in 2013 after singer James Hall (Pleasure Club, Mary My Hope) and guitarist Bruce Butkovichs’s previous group, the Futura Bold, disbanded. Along with bassist Patrick Kelly (The Goodies!) and co-vocalist Jaz Jillette, JH&TSW went on to release their debut album “Electric Hex” in 2016 and followed it up with the “Tether” in 2018 and “All Horns and Halos!” in 2019. The worldwide pandemic of 2020 ended up seeing JH&TSW record and film an online live capture series featuring the band and guests performing 1 song a week. After 23 straight weeks, the 23 songs were remixed and released as “::Isolation Sessions:: Vol. 1” in the spring of 2021. Reconfigured and re-energized with an assassins cache of new songs, JH&TSW have been working in the studio with their sights set on a release for 2026.
