The Higher Choir

Led by unrepentant slackers and joined by ne’er do wells who somehow learned to play instruments, the Higher Choir is a prominent fixture in Atlanta’s music scene, performing at various community events, concerts, and religious services. Their mission is to elevate spirits through music while fostering unity and connection within the community.The Higher Choir has managed to play shows all over the southeast as well as stops in the Bahamas, Miami and Jamaica. Somehow they lived through this. They have shared the stage with notable acts like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rusted Root, Blackberry Smoke and Joan Osborne to name just a few. They play an original mix of Desert Psychedelia, Jam music, Southern Rock and Gospel.In addition to their live performances, The Higher Choir has released several acclaimed albums, each reflecting their evolving sound and artistic vision. Their current release “Getting High to make music to get high to” will be released in March. The band is celebrating with a performance at Smith’s Olde Bar on March 8th.
