Ziggy Stardust commits Rock and Roll Suicide!

Jerome Newton and the Band Who Fell to Earth recreate the final Ziggy Stardust concert.

"Of all the shows on this tour, this particular show will remain with us the longest, because not only is it the last show of the tour, but it's the last show that we'll ever do." With those words spoken from the Hammersmith stage in 1973, David Bowie announced to the world that Ziggy was dead. Fans, critics, and even his own band, were stunned! This set the stage for a series of artistic reinventions that defined Bowie's entire career, but at the time it was, indeed, rock and roll suicide.

Now, 44 years later almost to the day, Atlanta's best Bowie tribute, Jerome Newton and the Band Who Fell to Earth, are recreating the full concert set, along with a few surprises. From the opening thrash of Hang on to Yourself (cited by Glen Matlock of the Sex Pistols as a major influence), to the triumphant "wonderful" cadence of Rock and Roll Suicide, the set features some of Bowie's most enduring and endearing songs.

Let all the children boogie!
